"Physical education has acquired importance for the Second World War. Research was conducted for keeping the soldiers fit and free of stress. Unfortunately, there has been very little work had been in the area of physical education in India. But now the Government of India has woken up to the need of research in physical education. The level of achievement in world events in physical education has been very low so far for India. But is is expected that with the improved conditions provided by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development things are moving in the right direction.
