"This book covers the legacy of British Rule in India and its widespread impacts, rise of nationalism in India, many contributors emerged in the Extremist Movement, Gandhiji started Non-Cooperation Movement to get freedom from the hands of Britishers, National Movement came into existence from 1918 to 1928; formation of Swarajya Party, Simon Commission, Home Rule Movement, Cripps Mission etc. were at full swing. Side by side there was a growth of Left Movement and Peasants Movements in India. In the end Britishers were forced to give freedom to India in 1947 and new Constitution of India was framed."
