From the Preface: "In this book more emphasis is given on practical approaches for aquaculture nutrition, since aquaculture is a very fast growing field in Asia. Moreover the nutrition is a most neglected aspect in Asian regions. Owing to the reason this book is planned to have a thorough review of quality literature available at various sources and bridging the gaps with available technology. In Asian aquaculture scenario such type of single literature source on nutrition for aquaculture is presently not available. This is the driving thrust behind writing this book.

This book provides an up-to-date and comprehensive account on aquaculture nutrition. Nutrition is a very important aspect in modern aquaculture farming practices. Majority of the expenses are incurred on feeds in any type of aquafarming enterprise. If aquaculture farm is managed with wisely formulated feed and judicial feeding practice can very effectively reduce the expensed over it and can maximise the profit. This book includes 23 chapters having overall discussion and description regarding nutrition in aquaculture.

The book will be useful for fishery professionals, policy makers, students, scientists and extension workers as a useful reference material."
