Of Wooing, Woes and Wanderings
Rajarshi can barely stammer a few words in Spanish. Ma rise I does not know a word of English. He is a young, inexperienced Indian with the baggage of Indian values in tow. She is an expressive Venezuelan, bold and open in her ways. They meet in El Tigre, at a surprise party thrown by Rajarshi\'s friends, Alan and Pedro, to welcome him to his new job at the oilrig. The gathering is also meant to announce his arrival to any interested Latino women.A few days later, Rajarshi is surprised to find the lady waiting for him outside his villa. And hence begins Rajarshi\'s humorous saga, across countries and cultures, as his job takes him from one oilrig to another. Of Wooing, Woes, and Wanderings is entertaining, fluid, and sensitive. Chatterjee explores the love-life and profession of an Indian oilman in the bleakness of oil rigs in the world, a little-explored theme so far.
