"This book described the root causes of the present Indian social dys-functioning by renouncing the Indian social values as--sociability, truthfulness, simple living and high thinking homogeneity and co-operation, the main reason he pointed out is the present system of formal education which was imposed by the then British India Company Government, on the advice of Lord McCauley in 1833 A.D. for their own ends. The alienistic system of Indian formal education, which is still being followed by the Indians and has totally killed the Indian culture. And now the old Indian social values like sociability, morality, co-operation and sharing, love and affection, work culture and sharing have been damaged. The man has become greedy, self-centred and acquisitive. The present education system is only examination based. It has no place for inculcation of good life habits in the youngers which are necessary for their enculturation. And he laid emphasis for the removal of all social stigmas which can only be possible by the reformation of present educational system, then only our culture can be revived. He also laid stress for the removal of gender bias, aesthetic education, sociability and following the teaching professional ethics by the teachers etc. This book will be useful for the educators."
