From the preface: "This publication entitled "Participatory Approach for Fish Biodiversity Conservation in North East India" contains invited base papers and full papers of the abstracts contributed on the identified themes to enrich the workshop deliberations. Four papers that are based on the work done outside the North Eastern Region have been included because of their implications for the North Eastern Region. Similarly, a few short notes have also been included, as they have succinctly expressed an important observation. The book has been divided into eight sections."
