The concept of a game holds a very different connotation for children than it does for adults. Children tend to view games as activities that use skills in a challenging, self-testing, or application fashion. These activities may or may not look like adult versions of sports. Sports are designed primarily for adults, have standardized rules and producers, and require a level of technical expertise to which children will never aspire.
