From the preface: "The book deals geographical elements such as location and extent, geomorphic features, geological structures and formation, climatic conditions and bio-geographical diversity. The other important aspects of the book is population growth, ethnic composition and distribution, cultural splendour and performance. Likewise, the settlement pattern (an entity of civilization) is presented with the historical growth trend, development plan, and current scenario. The geomorphic features like winding streams, gorges, waterfall, caves and lakes are the important natural heritages. Brief introduction of them has been given here. On the other, the entity of culture such as temples, chaitya and stupas, churches and mosques\' history have been presented in brief with beautiful photographs. There is activating philosophy behind these historical monuments; different indigenous communities, caste groups and religio-cultural groups have been guided to live together, helping each other, maintain social harmony and unity and inspire economic prosperity. In total, it teaches humanity is above all one the earth."
