Dr. Zakir Hussain played a significant role in the movement of India. A true Nationalist as he was he become an ardent follower of Mahatma Gandhi after his educational career abroad, he deserted his attention to the socio-economic upliftment of the people of his province as well as other regions of India . He always emphasized that every Indian must be educated so that he may provehimself as a worthy citizen. The themes in this work deal with his early career abroad his Gandhian philosophy and administrative capability as Vice President and President of India.
