Population and Land Utilisation
The present work addresses itself to analyzing the spatio-temporal changes in population and land use. The introduction provides a comprehensive picture of the region, its climate, drainage, population structure and economy. The spatial pattern is delineated in all its aspects-the general land use, agricultural land use, crop combination, intensity of cropping, agricultural regions, population distribution, density, distribution of social groups of population, population growth, population projection, problems associated with them and urban land uses. Essentially problem oriented, this work provides a deep insight into the problems of the people of the region. Geographers, sociologists, agriculturists, economists, politicians and those involved in planning land use and population will find this work and invaluable. (jacket)
