Public Debt: Concept, Structure and Management in Indian States

Management of public debt is an important issue as a number of macroeconomic and policy variables are influenced by the variations in the levels of public debt as well as changes in its management policies. In the present book, the author has made a significant and high quality original contribution. Using a battery of sophisticated econometric tools and techniques on time series data for seventeen major Indian States covering both pre and post reforms era, the author has very competently and exhaustively analysed the growth and structural transformations of debt among major Indian States.
