War threatens the very fabric of civilization. This book was produced by members of the faculty of the school of religion, Yale University, when religion or moral and spiritual virtues in man could not save the world from the ravage of the war.
These essays were written so that the greed and the lust, the hatred and the ambition of wrong hearted men may not again wreck the hopes of the people, And also to awaken the sense of justice, mercy and truth, the traits of religion in the social organism.
