This book is designed primarily to meet the needs of PG aspirants to have a clear concept of this subject. Certain relevant and must know topics, where students get bogged down are made clear and crisp for easy understanding and reproducibility. Certain topics like identification, toxicology, forensic ballistics, medical law, and ethics are dealt with care in order to make it interesting. “The Quick Pills” tables in each chapter give more emphasis on points not to forget and for additional information. To memorize factual information for a longer duration, “Mnemonics” tables are added in appropriate places which students hopefully will enjoy while reading. To deal with image-based questions in competitive exams, 'Golden points with image' section is incorporated at the end of certain sections. At the end of each section, “Summary” tables are placed for rapid review and easy recollection of content. The overarching theme of this book is not just to convey the facts, but also a sense of excitement and challenges in contemporary forensic medicine.
