"Silent Suffering and Unheard Agony in the Regional Writings on Women is an outcome of the proceedings of the International Seminar hosted by the Department of English, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. The theme of the Seminar was Psycho Dynamics of Women in the Post Modern Literature of the East and West. The present book is a collection of selected research papers presented at this International Seminar during 25-26 Feb 2006.

This book contains papers on the main theme of the seminar and also on the sub-themes like re-reading the Cannon of English Literature, The Women\'s Movement, the discourse of sexuality, Gender Dualism, Eco-Feminism, Black Feminism, Gyno-criticism, Voice of Woman Consciousness, Womanhood and motherhood in literature, Domestic violence, Psycho-analytical treatment of women.
