Social Welfare Administration

Welfare, happiness and very lives of all of us rest upon the performance of administrative mechanisms. From the central matters of food and shelter to the periphery of our intellectual activity, the quality of administration in modern society touches our daily lives said Draught Waldo in 1954, which seems to be relevant even after more than half a century. In the present age of liberalization, privatization and globalization we are again talking of development with human face. It is now recognized that the privileged and better-off sections of society can manage their own welfare, happiness and development and therefore, the state may leave them to the private and market mechanisms. But there are those millions of the people who are deprived, destitute, disadvantaged, depressed, and exploited and under-privileged, who cannot manage their own welfare, happiness or development.
