Sri Ramajayam : Navagraha Ganamrutham (With Notation)
From the foreword: "Shri Muthuswami Dikshitars navagraha kirtanas are unique and are great. Once Shri Muthuswami Dikshitars’ intimate shishya Thambiappan was suffering from stomach ailment. Shri Dikshitar who was also an exponent in astrology, found that his shishya was under the spell of sanigraha. Due to his love for the shishya he felt sad and composed a kirtana ‘Divakara Tanujam’ in Yadukula Kambhoji raga singing the praise of Sanibhagwan and worshipping him with all devotion. After singing this composition with heart and soul Dikshitar called Thambi Appan and gave him the holy pujawater. On drinking the holy water the ‘shishyas’ stomach ailment vanished. Thereafter, according to history, Dikshitar, in his love for mankind and its well-being, composed kirtanas on the other eight grahas to remove the obstacles due to the interaction of the grahas. Great musicians who have sung these kirtanas daily with perfect sruti and raga bhava with full devotion and belief, have experienced that the navagrahas bestow on them good things in life, protected them from diseases, made them the owners of house property and live in peace and plenty. Let us all sing these kirtanas and reap its rewards."
