Srimanta Sankaradeva: an epoch maker is an analysis of life and works of the medieval saint literature Sankaradeva. It discusses the multi faceted contributions of Srimanta Sankaradeva (1449-1568 AD), which enriched the social, cultural and spiritual lives of Indian people, especially the people of Assam. This book has brought out the pioneering role played by the saint in the socio-cultural arena, Srimanta Sankaradeva was  a great reformer. He brought about significant changes in the social system of Assam and rescued the people from regressive customs like human sacrifice, prevalent at that time. He was very progressive and much ahead of his time. There were even elements of feminism in his writings as well as activities. He created a new social order and new cultural ethos in the trying times of medieval era. Besides the Eka Sarana Nama Dharma founded by Srimanta Sankaradeva brought the diverse ethnic groups living in the Brahmaputra valley together.
