AIM of Architect is to study the behavior of different forms of structures under different forces, keeping this in mind only the topics which would help in achieving this AIM have been chosen from the field of Applied Mechanics and Strength of Materials and brought together in a cohesive manner under one heading. There are seven chapters dealing with different topics of Applied Mechanics and Strength of Materials. Each successive chapter uses the skills learnt in the previous chapter. Large number of solved examples covering all possible types of problems have been included in a graded manner in each chapter.
