"The book describes the genesis of the students\' movement in Assam beginning with the formation of small societies in the mid 19 century now represented by organizations of students of different tribal communities with all Assam Students Union uniting them all. The study specifically deals with the spread of the All Tai Ahom Students Union (ATASU), the organization of the students of Tai Ahom Community.
