In recent times, the concept of Supply Chain Management (SCM) has drawn the attention of both academicians as well as practitioners. The notion which was originally introduce by the consultants during 1980s, gradually caught the attention of practitioners. A typical supply chain is a network of materials, information and services that are linked with the characteristics of supply, transformation and demand. The question that remains with the advantage. One of the ways of addressing such issues is through proper implementation of SCM strategy. Hence, implementation requires prudent and focused ways of selecting proper strategies.
Several questions arise in the context of strategic issues in SCM.
