The book at hand contains the three major aspects of potato production in North Eastern NE region. Firstly, it describes the agrarian scenario in the region and the traditional potato cultivation practices as well as the storage and marketing systems followed by the farmers. The second dimension of the book highlights the appropriate and location specific research and technological intervention/backstopping for productivity enhancement of potato crop for NE region. And, thirdly the book focuses on assessment and refinement of traditional practices and recommended technologies, capacity building and entrepreneurship development. The book is expected to serve as referreral material for the students, researchers, extension personnel and policy makers working in the region on potato R&D.
