The ten suttas translated in this book are Brahmjala, Samannaphala, Potthapada, Mahanidana, Mahaparinibbana, Mahasatipatthana Cakkavatti, Sampasadaniya, Pasadika and Singala. These are significant suttas explaining Buddhist doctrinal viewpoints and ethical system as well as throwing light on social, cultural, religious and political conditions of ancient India during the time of the Buddha.
