It covers human rights of terrorists for medical treatments, their fundamental rights, compensatory rights of the deceased terrorists’ successors, and the demands of the social organisations and efforts of the government for protecting human rights in relation to combating terrorism. An area of focus is cross-border terrorism and efforts to combat it involving cooperation between India, and the USA and China. It throws light on legal provisions in India for combating terrorism such as the Prevention of Terrorism Act, 2002 and the National Investigation Agency Law and international conventions to prevent and combat terrorism especially those adopted by the United Nations.
