The term leadership has wide meanings. It connotes differently to different persons. We have a petrol leader, a group leader, a union leader, a political leader, a national leader, an army leader, a religious leader and an educational leader. These leaders are required or expected to have different traits. But there are some fundamental traits which every leader, may be of a small group or a large groups, must have in order to be designated as a leader. Leadership may be for a good or noble cause or even for an evil or ignoble purpose. The gangsters, too have a leader.
