Women rights refers to those inherent rights of the women which are entitled to them by virtue of their human being. Several conventions have been adopted in the State level as well as in the International level for the protection of women rights.

The book is based on my doctoral research work. It is primarily an empirical work with a theoretical orientation in to the problems and issues of women rights during conflict situation. The study tries to examine the role of women’s organizations in BTC region in protecting and promoting the rights of women during conflict situation. An attempt is also made to highlight their role in peace initiatives and peace process.
