Women and Rural Development

The concept of women\'s empowerment is making deep roots in our country. Gone are the days when Indian women were supposed to see after domestic chores and looks after the upbringing of tiny toddlers. Now, Indian women are not confined to four walls of their homes but spreading their wings like never before. They are marching forward in ever field and making their presence felt in every sphere of life. Mahatma Gandhi was of the opinion that India lives in their villages, and it\'s true even in modern era. Ignoring villages and remotest area means hindrance in the path of our progress and development.
