Women Education In India: Role of Women

The book deals with the long journey of Women Empowerment in India tracing the history of women's status in education and society in ancient and Vedic period till the present time. It examines some of the important questions, namely whether women had the right to get educated; whether women enjoyed equal status, rights and opportunities for growth in the society; whether women faced hardships due to gender discrimination etc. The main focus is on education of women till the present time.
