The fifth chapter deals with various testing methods for evaluation of wood preservatives against different organisms e.g. decay fungi, soft-rot, termites, marine borers and fire etc. Chapter six and seven detail various methods for temporary protection of wood during transport and storage and requirements of preservative doses and penetration for long term protection.
