The present book on Zooplankton has been prepared written keeping in view of the requirements and direction of modern teaching and research in Zooplankton disciplines. An attempt has been made to evolve a new text with originality in style and presentation and also includes some topics of current importance. A very few species of the phylum protozoa show a connecting link between the class Sarcodina and Mastigophora and the class Mastigophora and Ciliata. I think this will be an individual and additional feature above all the existing texts.
